More oil cloth projects

I was very inspired yesterday and made this whole line of oil cloth pieces.

These are from top to bottom:

3 lunchbags, 2 small toiletries bags, 2 big toiletries bags,

2 lunch wrappings and a small coin purse.

Ik had nogal wat inspiratie gisteren en heb een hele lijn aan plastic tassen gemaakt.

Van boven naar beneden is het volgende te zien:

3 lunchzakjes, 2 kleine toilettasjes, 2 grote toilettassen,

2 lunch-omvouwsels en 1 kleingeld portemonneetje.

This is the coin purse.

Dit is het kleingeld tasje.

This is one of the lunchbags. It closes with velcro fastener.

Dit is een van de lunchzakjes. Hij sluit met klittenband.

These are the lunchwrappings. Here they are closed.

Dit zijn de lunchomvouwsels. Hier zijn ze gesloten.

And here they're open.

En hier zijn ze open.

Another Mini Me

Introducing Mini Me nr. 2: Laura, my daughter.

Bags, bags and bags!

I recently rediscovered my sewing machine and got me some fine fabric. 

And then I made bags bags bags.

Not for me, but for a friend who wants to sell them at a festival.

The big bags are reversible (optional).

It was fun making them!

At the end of this message are the websites where I found the patterns and tutorials.

Ik heb recentelijk mijn naaimachine herontdekt en wat mooie stofjes aangeschaft/gekregen.

En toen heb ik tassen tot in de gloria gemaakt.

Niet voor mezelf, maar voor een vriendin die ze wil verkopen op een festival.

De grote tassen zijn aan 2 kanten draagbaar (optioneel).

Het was leuk om ze te maken!

Another material I discovered was oilcloth.

Very easy to work with on your sewing machine.

Here I made 2 resuable lunchbags and a toiletries bag.

Een ander materiaal wat ik recent ontdekt heb is dik, soepel plastic.

Heel makkelijk mee te werken op de naaimachine.

Mini Me!

From the famous Norwegian duo Arne and Carlos comes the following project:

knitting a Mini Me!

Working on one for my daughter as well.

Pattern works brilliantly and it is such a thrill to make these dolls.

Almost like sculpting in wool.

Van het fameuze duo Arne en Carlos komt het volgende project:

een Mini Me breien!

Ik werk er ook aan eentje voor mijn dochter.

Het patroon werkt heel goed en het is zo leuk om deze poppen te maken.

Bijna zoals boetseren in wol.

Mother of pearl necklace

And here we are again, a button necklace this time. Made of Mother of pearl buttons, which feels remarkably nice to wear on your skin.

En daar zijn we weer, met deze keer een knopen ketting. Gemaakt van parelmoerknopen, wat opmerkelijk lekker draagt op de huid.

More upcycled clothing

New additions to my blog today! I like to upcycle my clothes.

So here is some of my work.

Nieuwe toevoegingen op mijn blog vandaag! Ik hou ervan om mijn kleding te pimpen > Upcyclen.

Dus hier nog wat toevoegingen.

This shirt was made of an old shirt and some fabric.

Dit shirt is gemaakt van een oud shirt en een lap stof.

This "oldtimer" exists of 2 shirts I couldn't say goodbye to and a piece of knitting to connect them.

Deze "oldtimer" bestaat uit 2 oude shirts waar ik geen afscheid van kon nemen en een stuk breiwerk om de 2 aan elkaar te maken.

This used to be a sweater :-)

Dit was eerst een sweater :-)

This was a silk blouse I hardly wore combined with crochet.

Dit was een zijden blouse die ik niet droeg, gecombineerd met haakwerk.

Upcycled cardigan

So here are some results of my hard work working with silver thread.

It definitely works different from using wool or cotton yarn, silver thread is rigid in comparison.

I used semi precious stones for these projects.

Don't ask me the names though, I have no clue!

Hier dan wat resultaten van mijn noeste arbeid met zilverdraad.

Zilverdraad werkt heel anders dan katoen of wol, het is veel stugger.

Bij deze projecten heb ik ook gewerkt met halfedelstenen.

Vraag me niet naar de namen hiervan, ik heb geen idee!

This bell is about 10 cm high.

Dit klokje is ongeveer 10 cm groot.

This hanger is about 6 cm high and still in progress.

Deze hanger is ongeveer 6 cm en is nog niet klaar.

The next projects are made with rough stones, difficult to use in any project, 

but stil possible to wrap them up in silver.

Both stones are about 2 cm high.

Onderstaande projecten zijn gemaakt met ruwe steentjes, moeilijk om te gebruiken, 

maar nog wel met de mogelijkheid om in te pakken in zilver.

Beide steentjes zijn ongeveer 2 cm groot.
